2026 Regional Forum on High-Quality County Medical Community Development to Open in Tianjin
The coordinated advancement of compact county medical communities and the Healthcare Foundation Strengthening Project has become a central theme for high-quality county-level healthcare development during China's 15th Five-Year Plan period.
In 2025, the State Council approved the Implementation Plan for the Healthcare Foundation Strengthening Project, calling for stronger development of compact medical alliances. During the 15th Five-Year Plan period, China will support the construction of around 1,000 compact county medical communities. By 2030, county medical communities are expected to become more integrated and collaborative, with a higher share of healthcare services delivered by county-level and lower-level institutions and clearer progress in tiered diagnosis and treatment.
To implement these national requirements, promote exchange among medical community organizations and primary healthcare institutions, strengthen the substance of county medical community development, and support the Healthcare Foundation Strengthening Project, the National Medical Community Academic Consortium plans to hold the Healthcare Foundation Strengthening Project Strategic Implementation Seminar and the 2026 Second Regional Forum on High-Quality County Medical Community Development in Tianjin from April 10 to 12, 2026.
The event will take place at Society Hill International Conference Center Hotel in Tianjin. It will also include the annual summary meeting of the National Medical Community Academic Consortium and a practical training program on improving county medical community health management capacity and building lifecycle health management projects.
